THE PARTS THAT BRING IT TOGETHER

Considered,
down to the
last doorway.

A floor is more than the boards in the middle of the room. The base underneath, the direction through a hallway and the meeting point with another surface all shape the result.

01

A base that is ready for the chosen timber.

02

A clear plan for boards, edges and transitions.

03

A fitting sequence that makes room for daily life.

Begin with the groundwork ↗

THE IDEA BEHIND THE BRAND

A home begins to feel different from the floor up.

A timber floor is something you live with at close range: the grain in the morning light, the route from the kitchen to the sofa, the small step between one room and the next. Choosing the boards is part of the decision. The way the floor fits the home matters just as much.

We created this starting point to bring the material and installation questions together, helping you prepare a clearer brief for the rooms you want to change.

FROM AN IDEA TO AN INSTALLED FLOOR

Let’s start
with your rooms.

How your enquiry works ↗
  1. 01

    Begin with your rooms

Share the space, approximate area, existing floor and the timber you have in mind. A floor plan helps, if you have one.

  2. 02

    Resolve the installation details

A suitable contractor can assess the base, material requirements, fitting method and the work around the edges.

  3. 03

    Agree the finished scope

Confirm supply responsibilities, preparation, trims, price and the installation sequence directly with your chosen contractor.

Before you get started

A few things you might be wondering.

Have a more specific question? Add it to your enquiry.

Can I enquire before choosing the timber?

Yes. Describe the rooms, look you prefer and whether you are considering engineered, solid or patterned timber. A contractor can confirm which materials and installation scopes they accept after reviewing the property.

Do you arrange supply and installation?

Include whether you need materials supplied or have already purchased them. Contractor supply options and willingness to install customer-supplied boards must be confirmed. Product identity, quantity and installation instructions should be known before booking.

What affects the installed price?

Area, timber product, installation method, pattern, subfloor condition, old-floor removal, stairs and edge details can all change the scope. Ask for those inclusions and any provisional preparation allowances to be shown clearly.

Can timber be installed over the existing floor?

It depends on the existing surface, condition, floor levels and the chosen product's installation requirements. A contractor needs to assess suitability and explain whether removal, preparation or an intermediate layer is needed.

Can we stay in the home during installation?

Discuss the room sequence, access, furniture and product requirements with the contractor. Some projects can be planned in stages, while others need a clear continuous area. Confirm the actual restrictions before arranging the work.

Will every board look the same?

Natural timber has variation. Ask to see representative material and discuss grade, grain, colour variation and board selection. The finished floor should be judged against the product and scope you agree, with realistic expectations of a natural material.
